A goal is reached.
Fine.
What next?
A problem is solved.
Good.
Next.
That might sound like a strong work ethic.
But I have started wondering whether rushing straight on is always a strength.
If you never stop when something goes well, what message are you sending yourself?
That it did not matter?
That success was a given?
That you are only allowed to feel pleased when everything is finished?
Which, of course, never happens.
So I have been practising celebrating more.
Not necessarily with any great fanfare.
Sometimes simply stopping and acknowledging: That worked.
I am grateful for that.
It surprises me that this is sometimes harder than doing the work itself.
